Clean Energy Connect in Motion ✨
The second annual Clean Energy Connect: Workforce and Resource Expo proved to be an effective bridge to New York’s growing green economy, equipping participants with the direct employer connections and educational resources needed to launch and advance their careers in the green workforce.

Mobilizing our Policy Recommendations
The Aligning NYC Investment with Workforce Opportunity strategic briefing was a critical start to a day curated for New Yorkers to learn about and advance in the green workforce. The morning started with JobsFirst NYC and Green Economy Network leaders presenting GEN’s 2026 Policy Recommendations to Mayor Mamdani. The policy recommendations outline a roadmap for the administration to deliver on a core promise: 500 NYC schools retrofitted. To ensure this massive climate initiative achieves sustained success, the GEN’s strategy focuses on transforming public investment into a streamlined pipeline for local hiring, work-based learning, and long-term career retention.
Immediately following the policy briefing, leaders from workforce and climate sectors joined for a panel discussing what it takes to move insight to action.
