Our take on a no wrong door approach
Navigating the green economy can be a challenge for both seasoned pros and newbies alike. The Green Careers Council working group identified a need to better understand candidates’ interests, backgrounds, and dealbreakers in order to properly serve jobseekers in the green economy. The group developed our GEN Jobseeker Assessment Tool is housed on the GEN website. Check it out here!

Kicking off our referral task force
After a successful first run at 26 referrals in 60 days, the HSN started up their referral task force with HSN recruitment, admissions, and intake professionals at the helm. Building on their success of last year, Grace Institute is leading the coordination of the task force through facilitation, management of the referral form, and leading the improvement of our processes. Our goal: unify the admissions processes so that motivated jobseekers do not slip through the cracks.
Tech Sector Network
Exploring the intersection of climate and tech
TSN partner The Knowledge House hosted Energy and Empanadas, bringing together tech-enabled workers from New York Power Authority (NYPA) and Con Edison to speak to current and alumni jobseekers from TSN programs and nearby high schools. The convening sparked further ideas on how to better introduce climate tech companies as viable tech career pathways.
