
Sandy Chen is a JobsFirstNYC’s summer intern. She joined JobsFirstNYC through Ladders for Leaders, a nationally recognized program that offers outstanding high school and college students the opportunity to participate in paid professional summer internships in New York City. In this role, she applies her skills in organization, communication, research, outreach, and event planning to advance workforce and economic opportunities for young adults who are out of school and out of work. Drawing from prior experience in public finance, economic research, and club leadership, Sandy aims to leverage her professional skills to make a meaningful impact during her tenure at JobsFirstNYC. Sandy, a sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations, is driven by her passion for labor policy and economics. This enthusiasm fuels her exploration of workforce development at JobsFirstNYC.
