Invest in the next generation of New York City’s workforce by joining the JobsFirstNYC network

Between 259,000 and 324,000 or 27%-34% of 16-24 year olds in New York City are now out of school and out of work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In communities with higher poverty and unemployment rates like Brownsville (Brooklyn) or Mott Haven (Bronx), it’s likely that more than half of young adults are disconnected from the economy and disengaged from school. Unfortunately, as the future of work is upon us and as our economy continues to require an even more skilled workforce, rising generations are unprepared.

JobsFirstNYC’s mission is to create and advance solutions that break down barriers and transform the systems supporting young adults and their communities in the pursuit of economic mobility. To do this, JobsFirstNYC has developed more than 30 unique partnership models with more than 160 organizations and institutions across New York City and State that have reconnected over 6,000 out-of-school, out-of-work young adults to education, training and employment.

Your investment will directly support our capacity to strengthen economic opportunities for the most vulnerable young adults and will provide critical resources directly to the frontline organizations we work with every day. Join us to realize JobsFirstNYC’s vision of a dynamic and inclusive economy that advances economic mobility for all young adults and the communities they call home.
