Welcome to the first Sector Networks newsletter. This is a space to share Green Economy, Healthcare, and Tech Network updates, program openings and recruitment opportunities, while fostering cross-network collaboration.
In March, the three Networks were actively planning their spring and summer convenings, which will bring together key stakeholders for strategic discussions, skill-building workshops and career pathway exploration.

The Green Economy Network, in collaboration with the Bronx and Brooklyn Clean Energy Hub is hosting our inaugural expo, with the goal of providing career exploration and job opportunities to jobseekers interested in green careers. GEN co-chair, Shakira Hart, has been fearlessly leading the charge in making this expo a success. Join us on April 24th, from 10AM-2PM at Bronx Community College Roscoe Brown Student Center.

Planning first Green Economy Expo
- The Green Launchpad’s Angela Son and Willdan’s Antuan Cannon presented on their Clean Energy Framework, which sparked conversation around the multiple sectors, segments, and systems clean energy careers span.
- St. Nicks Alliance is recruiting for several Green training programs through May in North Brooklyn. Check out their new Workforce Development Center on 88 Throop Avenue!
- JCC of Staten Island is recruiting for their HVAC training program in partnership with Willdan Clean Energy Academy.
- Kingsborough Community College and CUNY Bridges to Offshore Wind is recruiting for their Deckhand Training beginning in May.

Launched Referral Task Force
- This month, HSN launched a Referral Task Force to streamline in-network referrals from one organization to another, ensuring that qualified candidates find a seat in a right-fit program.
- St. Nicks Alliance is recruiting for their April 7 Hemodialysis Training. Check out their new Workforce Development Center on 88 Throop Avenue!
- Stanley M. Isaacs Center is recruiting for their April 7 CNA/EKG/Phlebotomy Train and Earn cohort.
- Northwell Lenox Hill will be hosting our second annual Healthcare Expo Careers in Care on May 12 (stay tuned for updates!).
Tech Sector Network
Completed Young Adults in Tech Focus Groups
- From January to March, Per Scholas led the charge in convening over 30 young adults pursuing or advancing careers in tech—amassing valuable insights for both training providers and employers.
- NPower and Marcy Lab are planning for the May Tech Employer Roundtable. This conversation with corporate partners will allow us to share important insights from young adult in the field, and learn from industry experts on the future of tech hiring.
