David Charron serves as JobsFirstNYC’s Executive Vice President, bringing 20 years of expertise in workforce development, higher education and nonprofit leadership. In this role, he provides strategic guidance and leadership to advance the organization’s expanding vision and impact.  Prior to joining JobsFirstNYC in 2024, he co-founded Powerful Youth, an international social enterprise that has empowered thousands of young leaders to create social impact through award-winning leadership programs.  Prior to this, he led various strategic initiatives as the Director of Summer Programs and Planning at Quinnipiac University as well as an Associate Director at The University at Buffalo Office of Career Services. David has also played integral roles leading cross-disciplinary teams at the M&T Bank Foundation, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, DREAM, and BronxWorks. David holds a Master of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo School Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theater from Bates College. His contributions have been recognized through media interviews in Newsweek and NBC Connecticut as well as three consecutive iStudy Global awards.
